At the heart of CapnaDSP's systems is massively parallel compute technology (FPGA or GPU) allowing us to tailor the hardware architecture to the individual application for extreme throughput. This gives the potential to achieve up to x100 performance over software only solutions. Our plug & play synthesis technology significantly streamlines the process between algorithm design and implementation, automatically producing fully integrated systems for rapid prototyping and end products. CapnaDSP was formed with support from the UK DTC Industrial Consortium, who identified a growing capability gap in current industry development cycles and design productivity. The technology commercialised by CapnaDSP directly addresses these recognised limitations setting the benchmark for next generation electronic system design.
 
Founded in 2008, CapnaDSP is a rapidly expanding spinout from the ECIT Institute and the world-renowned Programmable Systems Lab, Belfast. It is building on and commercialising ten years of industry-led, cutting-edge research and development into advanced high performance system design (FPGA, microprocessor, DSP, GPU).
